When you have an empty backyard and some space for a swimming pool, you can make any design you want. When you hire contractors to construct a custom pool, the shape of a pool can provide both practical use and fun use in the backyard. If you or your family loves superheroes, then you can find some inspiration for the pool shape from superhero symbols.

Check out some superhero symbol shapes that can become the actual shape of your swimming pool. Once you pick the shape design, you can add a liner and decor that matches the hero's colors and really elevate the final design.

1. Superman's Symbol

Superman's symbol is more than just the letter "S". The crest logo derived from Superman's home planet of Krypton is in the shape of a shield with the "S" shape sitting in the middle. The shield's shape itself features strong lines and can make an ideal pool area. The two angles in the top-left and top-right of the symbol can act as entry points for the pool.

You could place ladders or steps in each of those areas. The point at the bottom of the shape can lead to a deeper end of the pool if you want the water to go deeper.

2. The Flash's Lightning Bolt Symbol

The Flash is known for his lightning bolt, but the actual symbol includes a lightning bolt inside of a large circle shape. The circular shape would make an ideal backyard pool shape. A custom swimming pool could feature two extensions on each side that act as the end of lightning bolts.

Those smaller sections could represent dual stairs cases that offer multiple entry points into the pool. Along with a pool in the shape of the flash symbol, you could consider a smaller circular in-ground spa with the same pattern.

3. Wonder Woman's Symbol

Wonder Woman's classic symbol includes two "W" letters stacked on each other with a winged design that branches out on each side. When you use this symbol for a pool, the winged symbols would make ideal entry points for the pool and could create a larger swimming area.

The open design of the pool could extend down to the bottom of the "W" shape and include a straight line across instead of two points for the "W" letters. If made long enough, the section from wing to wing could act as a lap area to swim in.

Plan out custom superhero pool designs when you work with a contractor who builds and installs custom pools. The final design could give you something you enjoy for multiple decades in your own backyard area. For more information about custom swimming pools, reach out to a local contractor.
